Rhoda

Roh´duh

A slave, servant, family member, or follower of Jesus in the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark, in Jerusalem. When Peter was miraculously released from prison and came to the house, she answered his knock, but was so overcome with joy that she ran and announced his presence to the others assembled in prayer without first letting him in (Acts 12:12-16).
